What or who got you into Cars?
I’m a product of growing up in SoCal in the 80’s and 90’s where the sport compact car scene began. The first car I purchased with my own money was a 1993 RX7 which I modified extensively with my college buddies
Why this Car?
I grew up dreaming about owning a mid engine supercar. As an Audi enthusiast for over 20 years, a gated R8 V10 was the holy grail.
Why did you build this Car?
I actually purchased this car with the intention of it being a true daily driver and it’s built that way. I’ve since decided that it’s too special of a car to rack up boring miles, but I still drive it several days a week without hesitation. This is one of my forever cars so I don’t worry too much about the mileage.
What does it feel like owning and driving this car?
It’s absolutely amazing. Having a V10 just a few inches behind your head along with manipulating the shifter through the gates in coordination with the 3rd pedal is an experience every auto enthusiast needs to check off their bucket list.
What do you think makes it unique?
Pretty much everything about it!

Future Plans?
Even though my builds are never really “done” since there’s always something that can be added, modified, or tweaked. But I’m actually pretty happy with with where the car is now. The stereo system is going to get upgraded in the next few weeks (even though the exhaust note is still the best soundtrack). I’m also looking at changing to a set of 2- or 3-piece wheels and changing to a more aggressive diffuser. Finally, I’m considering a supercharger. Who wants to work with me on a sponsorship deal?
Advice/Tips?
I get this question all the time…
1. If you are going to be modifying your car, make sure you have a reliable daily driver. There’s nothing more frustrating than starting in on a project and it ends up taking days or weeks longer than anticipated. Or something breaks unexpectedly and you have to wait on parts and repair. When you own a modified car, these things happen often and you don’t want to have to worry about how you’re going to get to work the next day.
2. Make a plan and budget for mods. Figure out your end vision and make a schedule and plan to get there.
3. Finally, focus on making yourself happy. Don’t build your car for anyone else. Build it for YOU. Make it a reflection and expression of YOU. When you look at your car, you should love everything about it.
